New Accreditation for Playfords
Playfords are delighted to announce that they are fully accredited to be able to supply and install electric vehicle car chargers and are a registered company under the Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV) and able to facilitate government grants for the installation of the vehicle charging points. There are 2 schemes eligible for grants:
Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme
The Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme (EVHS) provides grant funding of up to 75% towards the cost of installing electric vehicle chargepoints at domestic properties across the UK.
And
Workplace Charging Scheme
The Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS) is a voucher-based scheme that provides support towards the up-front costs of the purchase and installation of electric vehicle charge-points, for eligible businesses, charities and public sector organisations. This scheme provides up to £300.00 per charging point installed.

The demand for electric vehicle charging points is increasing both for the home, the workplace, leisure and commercial retail environments.
Playfords now have fully trained and accredited engineering personnel ready to meet with these demands which complements the other energy saving initiatives within our portfolio of services, such as Solar Photovoltaic & LED Lighting installations.
The government support for Solar PV installations is well known and publicised, however it is not so well known that grants are available for improving energy efficiency within the workplace.
The Carbon Trust Green Business Fund is offering up to £5,000 to small and medium sized businesses who could benefit from financial support when buying energy saving equipment. This could mean up to £5,000 towards a new lighting system for your offices or warehouse, heating and air conditioning equipment for your offices or a controls system for your factory – to help you rise to the challenge of becoming a greener business. Playfords can assist with these energy initiatives, drawing up business plans to demonstrate the energy savings gained through investment in the latest LED lighting and controls technology.
