Playfords are the provider of Audio Visual Solutions to Cambridgeshire Education ICT Service.

We were contacted by St Laurence Primary School in Cambridgeshire to discuss a potential Audio Visual Solution for their School Hall. Playfords’ Project Manager visited site to discuss the schools requirement and subsequently conducted a thorough site survey to establish a solution which would work for the School.

Our solution consisted of the installation of a hall projector which was to be used to display images at the end of the School Hall on a large Electric Drop down Projection Screen. In addition to the Video element we also designed an Audio Solution to suit the dimensions of the room and cater for the numbers of people in an audience. The solution consisted of the ability to play an audio source from a number of devices.

Our quotation was submitted through the Education ICT Service and subsequently accepted by St Laurence Primary School.

Installation was arranged directly with St Laurence Primary School and scheduled to take place during a busy term time. In order for our installation to work around the day to running of the school careful planning was put in place top organise our work where it would not restrict the schools day to day activities or present any risk to School Staff and Pupils.

Installation was completed on time and on site training on how to use the system carried out with Staff at St Laurence Primary School ensuring that they were delighted with their new Audio Visual Solution.

In addition to the installation of the Audio Visual Solution within St Laurence’ Primary School they also tasked us with the installation of 5 SMART Interactive Whiteboards within new Classrooms at the school.

Once again the same approach was taken to survey and plan the work as the School Hall Installation and careful planning and preparation implemented to minimise disruption to the Schools day to day activities.
