Playfords have constantly been involved within the industrial sector having looked after British Sugar as a client for over 40 years on their factories at Bury St Edmunds, Wissington, Cantley and Newark. These sites involve heavy electrical engineering, working with high voltage and low voltage installations, exceptionally large motor and control panel installations.
The skills and experience have also been extended to other clients within this sector, for example Calor Gas and Flour Mills within the AB Group. Here we provide installations to meet explosive atmosphere standards using our own directly employed engineers, fully trained to Compex standards, to provide electrical installations which are required in explosive atmospheres such as flour and sugar dust.
